St Julians is a bustling town in Malta that is the centre-point for most things that have to do with tourism and entertainment on the islands.
It also happens to be the locality where you will find our 5-star hotel; InterContinental, Malta right in the heart of it all.
In today’s guide, we’re looking at a few points of interest you’ll find in St Julians that you will hopefully get to explore and enjoy while residing or visiting this town.
6 Points Of Interest You’ll Find In St Julian’s Malta
The Center Of All Night Life
St Julian’s, or to be more exact Paceville, is the mecca of entertainment and nightlife in Malta. In this stretch of the two main roads round the corner from InterContinental Malta, you will find a variety of nightclubs, lounge bars, coffee shops, restaurants shopping malls and more.
If you will be visiting Malta on holiday and you’re looking for a place to have a few drinks, a bite to eat and even visit a nightclub, then among the many entertainment venues you’ll find in St Julians, there is something for you.
A Blue Flag Beach
St Julian’s is also home to one of Malta’s blue flag beaches.
This is also a few meters down the road from InterContinental, and a part of the beach is also secluded as the hotels’ “private” beach club that is open to all our residents.
Obviously, summertime is the best time to visit this gorgeous beach but Winter in Malta not being as harsh as it is for our Europen neighbours, you will often see people jumping into the shallow (yet freezing) waters after a night out on the town.
This is not something you would expect to see in a modern, buzzing entertainment hub but St Julian’s is also home to the “cat village” which is literally what the name implies.
Although the “cat village” came about due to the unfortunate situation with stray cats living on the island, this “village” has become a tourist attraction its own right.
If you’re a cat lover, then this is obviously something we recommend you check out while in St Julians.
Our Gastronomy Restaurants In St Julians
InterContinental Malta boasts a collection of 6 restaurants which are situated in and around the main hotel in St Julian’s.
Our restaurants offer something for everyone with some being available throughout the year, and some only during the summer months (like our beach club restaurant for example).
The Spinola LOVE Monument
Just a quick 5-minute walk away from St Julian’s, you will find a little area known to the locals as “Spinola Bay“.
This is a picturesque little bay are where you will find more restaurants from all cuisines and also, you will get to see the now infamous LOVE monument which gets a lot of attention and Instagram pictures from tourists visiting the island.
Last but not least, we have to mention the Casino Malta in St Julian’s which is also the biggest casino on the island.
This casino is also part of the InterContinental Group, and it’s situated in St Augustine Street.
