Here in Malta, we are blessed to have 3000 hours worth of sunshine every year, which really backs up the claim that “malta has the best climate in the world” according to InterNational Living magazine.
But what if you’re not such a fan of the sunshine? What are some others things that Malta is known for and what are the best times to visit Malta on holiday?
This question is what we will attempt to answer in our new posts this week.
True, Malta is a very sunny country but there are plenty more things to do while on vacation here and that is what we want to show you today.
When Is The Best Time To Visit Malta On Holiday
Looking For Sunshine?
If you want to visit Malta to soak up the sun and dive into the surrounding beautiful seas, then the best time to visit would be from April to around September (October if you’re lucky).
During those months, you can expect to have around 12 hours of sunshine each and every day with temperatures being well over the 22°C to 25°C mark.
The sea temperature during those times will also be just right with the median average during those months being around 21°C.
But, there are many things to do in Malta rather than laying on the beach, so if you’re not looking for that, take a look at some of our previous blog posts to give you a little inspiration on what you should be doing while in Malta:

How About Some Winter Activities As Well?
When we say winter in Malta, we do not mean the expected freezing temperatures with snow you would expect anywhere else, instead; in winter the average temperature is around 15C to 20C, usually more of the latter.
It won’t be warm enough to swim, unfortunately (unless you’re feeling courageous), as the usual sea temperatures in the winter months (November to March) are usually at around 16°C.
There are plenty things you can do in Malta in Winter, although yes; we would admit that there are more things to do in Summer but it all comes down to your personal preference,
Don’t expect to go ice-skating or mountain skiing in Malta, but if you visit in the winter months, there are many activities which we’re sure you would love.
