Demi-Chef de Partie

We are seeking a Demi-Chef de Partie to assist in the smooth running of one of the hotel’s multiple outlets by preparing and presenting food that meet the InterContinental Brand Standards whilst maintaining hygiene practices, and ensuring minimum food wastage in the kitchen.

Further duties include, but are not limited to:

– Preparation of all mise-en-place for all relevant menus
– Keeping all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination;
– Assist in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
– Ensuring food stuffs are of a good quality and stored correctly
– Contributing to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targets

Qualifications and requirements

– Ideally you’ll have at least one year experience in a similar role in a well-established, demanding kitchen environment. You will also be motivated, creative and have a real passion for food. Candidates must be able to work under pressure, possess basic food hygiene, effective communication skills and the ability to work on own initiative as well as within a team environment

Furthermore, the ideal candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

– A Culinary Qualification and basic food handling certificates
– Fluency in English
– Able to work shift duties, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
